Chris Hamilton Assoc. AIA

Managing Principal

Architecture, at its best, is an awe-inspiring combination of innovative thinking and sheer artistic creativity that shapes the world we inhabit.

Chris’ passion for science and engineering came at an early age when he was a near-constant presence in his father’s research laboratory at Caltech. Under his father’s watchful eye, he learned the art of collecting and synthesizing data to further understand the world we inhabit, something that informs his work in research and higher education facilities to this day.

Chris thrives on creative problem solving for complex, multidisciplinary projects. He combines flexible thinking with a diligent and organized management approach, which allows him to prioritize and adapt to changing project conditions as demonstrated through is leadership on the LEED Platinum Bioengineering Building at the University of California, Santa Barbara and the French Family Science Center at Duke University. His experience extends across the entire project process, from initial project programming through construction, paying attention to flexibility, energy efficiency and quality control.
